Three New Projects from Illustrator Mattia Riami

Posted on

Illustrator Mattia Riami’s latest work showcases a thoughtful blend of storytelling, design, and cultural reflection across a range of projects.

For Mondadori Education’s Passione Musica, Riami created a series of covers that invite students into an engaging journey through music. The illustrations emphasize inclusivity, rich repertoires, and practical activities designed to engage every student.

Mattia’s wine label design for WINE52’s Lizard in Love balances playfulness with sophistication, offering a visual identity that stands out while complementing the character of the wine.

Lastly, Mattia created illustrations for the collaborative project Ciao da Tramonti 2025, with one of his illustrations dedicated to Movada, a village submerged after the construction of the dam for the artificial lake of Redona in Val Tramontina. His work touches on the skeleton buildings left behind, accessible when the reservoir is empty.

Part of a larger initiative curated by Creazionindigeste and Cemont, Ciao da Tramonti brings together 20 illustrated postcards celebrating the region. Distributed freely during exhibitions and in local shops, the collection extends beyond imagery, incorporating multilingual texts and highlighting young illustrators through a national competition.

Across these projects, Riami demonstrates a consistent ability to translate complex ideas into evocative visuals, creating work that resonates well beyond its immediate context.
