John W. Tomac illustrated Sierra Magazine’s article on the challenges facing the offshore wind industry in the Northeast. Initially seen as a promising source of good-paying jobs and a key to decarbonizing electric grids, the industry is now struggling.
A Stratford, Connective native, John W. Tomac studied art at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he also captained the men’s cross-country team. His career includes roles as a staff artist at various daily newspapers and as an art director at a business magazine. He currently lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, with his wife, two sons, and their one-eyed dog.
