Featured Image: Marco Baccioli

Marco was born in Tuscany, Italy, to a British family. He started his first freelance business when he was 20 years old, and has been working since as a graphic designer and illustrator. During the last three years, he has been living between Ashland, Oregon, USA, and Chiang Mai, Thailand, where so many of his illustrations took inspiration. He loves creating artworks that tell a story through colors and contrast, through negative spaces and shadows. He loves to use simple hue palettes, a limited amount of colors, stylized shapes, and rough natural edges. He pays great attention to composition, applying photography-like rules to achieve balance and readability. Simplicity is his master.

Cristina Bencina

Cristina Bencina is an award winning artist & illustrator living in Aurora, Colorado. Born on Long Island, New York, she studied illustration and received her BFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She has worked on illustrations for books written by Stephen King, Orson Scott Card, Erin Morgenstern, and more. Her artwork has been selected and featured in various annuals and exhibitions such as Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art, American Illustration, and The Society of Illustrators in New York City. She was also awarded The Folio Society’s Book Illustration Award.

Miranda Sofroniou

Miranda Sofroniou is a British illustrator based in Piemonte, Italy. She graduated from Camberwell College of Arts in 2012 with a degree in Illustration and specialises in vibrant, narrative-driven artwork using traditional painting techniques. Blending realism with a painterly, expressive style, she captures nature and everyday life with bold color choices, charming brushstrokes, and abundant detail. Travel and the natural world are key inspirations, as she explores the relationship between figures and landscapes to create immersive, atmospheric scenes. Her art is full of life and expression and her people within it beam with emotion and character in a subtle but captivating way.

Hannay Bailey

Hannah Bailey is an award-winning artist and illustrator living and working in Somerset. Her illustrations begin with pencil sketches that are traced, and then each tiny shape and segment hand-cut into a stencil. She uses vibrant inks to fill the shapes with texture and color, digitalizes the elements and rearranges them into a final composition. Hannah is inspired by the natural world, growing things, and history, specializing in non-fiction children’s books as well as editorial and food illustration.

Suzu Takeshi

Born in the quiet seaside town of Yoichi, Hokkaido, Suzu’s journey took a whimsical turn before he could even walk, crossing the ocean to Brazil at just 10 months old. He spent his childhood in the vibrant city of Sao Paulo, absorbing the colors, chaos, and comic book culture of Latin America. At 19, he returned to Japan, bringing with him a unique cultural fusion that would later shape his art. A self-taught illustrator and trained graphic designer, Suzu proudly claims the title of the “most unknown illustrator in the world”, a tongue-in-cheek motto that reflects both his humility and his singular voice in the art world. His work is marked by simplicity, emotional honesty, and a subtle sense of humor that invites viewers to look twice and smile.
