Workbook Winners: Kremer Johnson Dive Series

The new Communications Arts Photo Annual is out with a great showing from Workbook contributors, including Kremer Johnson. In their series Dive, the subjects are like visual metaphors for the endless ways we humans tackle the challenges of daily life. A range of human emotion is captured in their faces and in their physical presence; we relate to the fear and trepidation, but also to the exhilaration and both the bold and quiet confidence that comes from knowing  you’re prepared.

As Kremer Johnson told us, “To the human eye, a dive can appear fluid and graceful. In reality though, most consist of an immaculately choreographed progression of awkward, tense actions that together create the illusion of grace.” We found a great deal of humanity in those isolated moments.

The series was used on social posts, email campaigns and sourcebook ads.
