Dan Goldberg, a former sous chef with a deep appreciation for Mexican cuisine, has long been fascinated by Oaxacan food. Driven by a desire to tell the stories of the Indigenous people who bridge tradition and modernity, Dan set out to explore the rich culinary heritage of Oaxaca. His research led him to Maria and her daughter Marichelle, local women who cook traditional dishes for their community. Inspired by their story, Dan embarked on a journey to capture the connection between tradition and food, resulting in a 6-part series that highlights their unique cultural contributions.
