Rick Wenner told us that he considered this to be his best portrait of 2021. It was the culmination of how his process and creativity has grown during the past year. He says, " I've been loosening my lighting technique to find more natural light and am now experimenting more with bolder color choices."

Ryan Forbes' best work from 2021 is actually a personal project designed to show LGBTQ representation in the luxury travel and hospitality markets. He told us, "In a world of growing diversity and opportunities, I wanted to bring my spin to this topic."

For Richmond Gibbs, this shoot for Splish Splash, New York's largest water park was a dream job. "This shoot combined two of my favorite things...photographing passionate, energetic, young people and working in and around the water. Add to the mix a client who awarded a tremendous amount of creative freedom, a beautiful shoot location and a creative director who likes to keep me right in the middle of the action. What more could a photographer want?"

This image involved two of Will Saunders' favorite things: photography and climbing. It is also the winner of The Red Bull Illume Image Quest, the greatest adventure and action sports imagery contest in the world.

Bryan Coppede told us that this shoot for Peg Woodworking, a woman-owned and staffed custom furniture design and fabrication studio, "...was meaningful for me because it was the first time I was on set where everyone was fully vaccinated, and at the time, it felt really optimistic."

Rick Gomez shot this image for Mercedes Benz Europe. He had the pleasure of meeting and working with Roger Federer, and told us,"Not only is Roger Federer the greatest tennis player of all time, but he is also a genuinely nice person. Of the celebrities that I have shot, he sits right at the top."

After days of restaurants, bars, and wineries in San Francisco photographer/director Steven Faulkner Moyer and friends decided last minute to get a day of camping along the "lost coast of California" before heading home. They hit an REI and a grocery store to stock up on essentials, and of course, Steven had his camera gear. The rest is captured in these images. Steven says, "It turned out to be a lovely night with stunning views we won't soon forget!"

Michael Kunde was hired by Paul Behnen, Senior Creative Director for Leslie Pools who, after viewing Michael's portfolio, granted him complete creative control. It is rare as Michael says, " To fully explore and produce a shoot for a client with nearly zero constraints."

John Davis has been working on building his fitness portfolio ever since moving to LA in 2016. This project entailed shooting two locations for Lift Society and was a great addition to that body of work. The client was very pleased, and John will be continuing his relationship with Lift Society in 2022.

Dale May took some time during the 2021 Covid shutdown to learn CGI and create some personal work with his kids.
