Follow Mark Stutzman’s process as he goes from rough sketch to finished artwork for American garage punk band White Reaper’s latest album cover; his best project of 2022. “As a teenager, I dreamed of doing 12-inch album cover art,” recalls Stutzman, but by the time he began working professionally, music was already migrating to CD’s with a much smaller format. Now that vinyl is making a comeback though, he’s gotten the chance to create imagery that incorporates his love for fantasy as well as his serious drawing skills for the band’s latest release, Asking For A Ride.
