Auction house RM Sotheby’s caters to collectors of super rare and elusive cars that stun equally in both performance and design. So when Photographer/Director Clint Davis had the opportunity to shoot a 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster for the client, he took some time capturing some personal shots of the stunner. After Davis shot some 200 images to be used as auction imagery at Monterey Car Week, he switched gears, brought in a friend, and shot personal images to capture the car against a brilliant Charleston sunset. Limited by how many miles he could put on the car, Davis had to be precise in his planning and execution. His friend, Chad Savage, provided 2nd shooter shots and Davis handled the post processing. Davis was happy with the results, sharing them to his Instagram account. This personal project is a great glimpse into Davis’ mind, seeing beyond the client asks and realizing a full artistic vision, elevating the subject.
