Andi Elloway’s project was with a new creative agency (CHAMP!) and their client Uber Eats. The creatives at CHAMP! proposed collaborating with four different artists/illustrators to design new delivery bags for the couriers to use, and it was Andi and her team’s job to photograph them in action, as well as capture portraits of the artists who created them. Andi explains, “First we shot each bag in New York on bike messengers, to show the bags in action. The next part of the project involved photographing the artists in their studio spaces: Brent Rollins in New York, Cody Hudson in Chicago, Melanie Lambrick in Montreal, and Sophia Chang in Los Angeles. Production was tight (we had about 2 weeks to confirm a team, source props and locations, finalize concept, etc.), but we had an incredible group of people, and it all came together smoothly in the end. It was so special to see how each artist’s space fit his or her personal style and workflow.”
