Chris Crisman's Personal Series on Young Boxers
One of our most popular posts this past year featured a dynamic series of photographs by Chris Crisman that depicted the young men on the cusp of adulthood working out at  Philadelphia's Front Street gym. With evocative lighting and personality, this series stopped many of our followers in their tracks.  Read more about the project at the blog.
Michelle Kondrich's Instagram Coverage of the ICON10 Illustration Conference.
Illustrator Michelle Kondrich was generous enough to document some of the highlights from her visit to last year's ICON10 Illustration Conference in Detroit through photos and videos of the event. This allowed everyone who couldn't make it to get a taste for what happened there.
 Tom Froese Takeover
Tom Froese brought a nice multimedia blend of posts to our illustration account with examples of his work, his process, his studio space and inspiration for his fellow artists.
 Dale May's Gravity-defying Family Portrait
Photographer Dale May turned a lot of heads with his creative and visually challenging balancing act of a family portrait. The illusion of the shot was so well executed that some onlookers even expressed concern for the safety of the baby.  You can read more about how he put it all  together at the Workbook blog.
Martin Gee Takeover
Martin Gee embraced the true potential of a takeover by creating original content for it, sharing his illustration and design work as well as the work of artists he has art directed at TIME magazine and even a look at some of what makes him tick as a creative person. The posts about his personal Star Wars and pop culture collections were a special treat.
- 40s art
We were honored to be joined by several workbook illustrators and photographers in celebrating our 40th birthday in 2018 by sharing creative work that they had created specifically for the event. So many wonderful variations on the concept of '40' really made the year special.
Richard Borge's Animated Birthday Cake
Richard Borge collaborated with our Social Media Director Thomas James to develop a playful animated concept to highlight our 40th birthday. Richard's loose and light approach was the perfect fit.
The Mendola Artists Takeover
This was a big undertaking.  Cece Parra, Social Media and Administrative Coordinator made effective use of individual mini-portfolios, including animation, Skpe interviews with artists,  with a look inside their studios. The result: An engaging look at the work of 38 different artists across numerous categories, that drew people in.
