Jared Leeds Presents His Best of 2025

Posted on

For his Best of 2025, Photographer Jared Leeds shares one of his most personal projects, inspired by a family trip to Lo de Marcos, Mexico—a small town an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. Its slower pace offered a rare sense of ease and freedom, allowing Jared to wander without constant vigilance and reconnect with his photojournalism and street photography roots, guided solely by his camera.

Though his Spanish was limited at the time, Leeds was struck by how far non-verbal communication could carry him, prompting a commitment to learn Spanish in order to engage more deeply on future visits. Leeds plans to return to Lo de Marcos to continue building on a body of work rooted in curiosity, connection, and the quiet moments that emerge when life is lived out in the open.
