Andy Wakeman doesn’t have a story about his dad giving him his old camera when he was six. In fact, he found photography, or rather, photography found Andy later in life. While working as a designer at an ad agency, Andy brought a camera on a shoot. Turns out a few of his shots ended up in a catalog – he was hooked. Ever since then he’s been honing his craft and trying to take his pictures to the next level.

They say hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard, but David Clifford lives and dies by the belief that passion will get you further than both. Always armed with a wide smile, a healthy dose of humility, and a full arsenal of camera lenses, "Cliffy" charges the machine-gun nest in pursuit of the best light, the peak action, and the serendipitous moments that grab you and shake you to the core. From running off-the-couch adventure races through arid deserts to hauling hundred-pound packs of lighting equipment up 13,000-foot mountains to shoot rock climbing on rare backcountry spires, shooting commercial campaigns for large brands in the outdoor industry to photojournalistic assignments for print, online, television, and film, major sporting events to artistic indie films, David Clifford is a true master of the craft.
