Photographer/Director Suzanne Clements is turning up the volume on visual storytelling with two new personal projects that are as fun as they are thought-provoking.
Glam Fast Food is a high-shine, editorial-style series where Clements reimagines everyday takeout icons—soft serve, fries, burgers, soda—as over-the-top, art-directed moments. It’s food photography with a wink: glossy, glam, and absolutely indulgent. At a time when fast food can feel like both a guilty pleasure and a small luxury, Glam Fast Food leans into the contradiction. “It’s camp. It’s commentary. It’s completely over-the-top-and that’s exactly the point.”
What happens when three lifelong skater friends take over an old-school diner? Mother Truckers blends stills and video into a gritty, nostalgic lifestyle shoot that puts seasoned skaters front and center. It’s a tribute to friendship, aging with style, and spaces that hold stories. The energy is raw, real, and refreshingly unfiltered.
With both projects, Clements proves that personal work can be both visually striking and culturally resonant—whether it’s food as fashion or friends defying expectations.
