Mark Summers’ style is a classic that’s appeared in everything from editorial assignments, to packaging, to advertising. It’s based in the old technique of scratchboard to which he can add a thoroughly contemporary flavor as with his portraits for Rolling Stone’s “The Last Word,” or add historical context as with his ads for Bib & Tucker and Robert Brighton’s Murder in Ashwood series. His work can be a great stand-in for the everyday corporate portrait.
It’s why Mark is a multi-award-winning illustrator, most notably winner of the Hamilton King Award. His work is, as the Bib & Tucker slogan says, “… Bold and Refined.”
