Illustrator Steven Noble has been hard at work creating incredible pieces of art for various clients. From posters to packaging, Steven’s signature woodcut style has been sought after to help bring both nostalgia and evergreen artistry to every project.
In our featured image, Steven was inspired by old national parks’ posters and is intended to have a screen printed / illustrated look, Steven Noble was commissioned to render this one 4/c custom illustration in a woodcut style that includes a canyon scene with cliffs on either side along with rock climbers on the right side for “The Highlands” of Red River Gorge. The artwork was rendered by hand in an etching style with color wash added.
Steven was also tasked with creating a series of custom illustrations for the Bierfabriek beer labels. Bierfabriek, located in Amsterdam, is a Brewery with hip, urban edge serving craft ales, plus organic grilled dishes & private tap tables. These edgy woodcut illustrated labels create this unique feel such as the Vals Alarm, Puur, Scafttijd, and lastly, Snipperdag.
Lastly, Stolen Spirits Branding commissioned Steven Noble to create iconographic branding illustrations for their packaging labels that included a series of icons such as a hare, candle, fox, etc.. Illustrations were rendered in a line woodcut style for use across all media applications and were created in the tarot card design style.
