Custom Galleries on Workbook are a great way for a photographer or illustrator to add another dimension to their portfolios beyond commercial galleries. Testing out ideas and creating personal work are essential to driving a career forward, and it’s no secret that creative buyers like to see different context in photographers’ work. Some Custom Galleries are built as a series, others tell a story. Here are four that actually succeed at doing both: Ethan Pines created a series called Night Trees showcasing landscapes throughout suburbia. Bill Mayer’s Frogfolio is the study of a frog in which he appears to morph in both style and character. Paul Nordmann’s US of HOOPS focuses on “hoops” mostly within an urban setting, and Jim Frazier tackles the questions surrounding how we go about Managing Money. This post represents a small sample of the Custom Galleries throughout the Workbook site, and we’ll continue to post them here on the Blog.
