We sat down with art director Nick Howard, whose work at DDB Chicago landed him a spot alongside his partner Nick Stoner on this year’s Adweek Creative 100 list.
On this episode, we talk about how the Pandemic has impacted agencies, equity in the ad world, and what makes art stand out.
Nick Howard is an art director about to start a new chapter of his career at Wieden + Kennedy Portland. Previously, he was a Creative Director, DDB Chicago on Miller Lite, Skittles, and Starburst, and before that, he had stints at FCB and Trisect. He was named to Adweek’s 100 Most Creative people in 2021. With over 60 international advertising awards, including Best of Discipline in mobile. He is obsessed with ideas that are simple, powerful, and demand a reaction.
With his partner, Nick Stoner, he’s put a party in a modern art museum, sold rockets, engineered a video game controller out of a beer can, written copy for the New York Times, inspired a movie starring Luke Skywalker, and never once forced the other Nick to change his name.
