London-based Debut Artists have just added nine talented new illustrators whose work is often at the intersection of photography and illustration.

BloodBros
Jason Cook, AKA Jacey, has been a practicing digital illustrator and pixel pusher for around 16 years. Jason originally came from a photographic background and the progression to digital arts was a natural one. Jason has delved into music design, animation, social documentary photography,  then on to art directing web sites for a new media company, which before long  lead him back to his real passion: combining photography and illustration with digital technology.

Matt Herring  uses a montage of found & self-generated graphic material to create assured, vibrant images for the publishing, design & advertising industries. These images are selected from recent projects. They range from book jackets, magazine covers, newspaper features, instore signage, billboard posters, through to direct mail, annual reports, & advertising campaigns. The work falls into several stylistic categories. Firstly, a traditional collage & photo montage approach used predominantly for editorial work. With other images he employs a more graphic approach, using flat colour, vector shapes, & simple lines to create a more contemporary feel.
Andy Lovell
Based in Barcelona, Spain, Pietari Posti creates contemporary scenes with unique personalities for magazines, advertising, product, publishing, posters, and newspapers. Pietari's work has been featured in the 3x3 Professional Illustration Annual, PRINT European Design Annual, and American Illustration 27.
Sarah Hanson's work is a combination of traditional, handmade, and digital collage. Inspired by her travels and an avid collector of random ephemera, she finds and stores interesting bits of old paper, maps, photographs, and various objects, which have all become strong elements in her work. For every new project she has a unique sift through the many random piles, sketchbooks, and pads that have accumulated around her studio, selecting suitable elements as she goes. Well known at art school for her numerous layered and collaged sketch books, Sarah still continually collects and documents new and inspiring collage material/ephemera in this way.
